One more gets reprieve in Jagan case!

The disproportionate assets and money laundering case filed by Enforcement Directorate against YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy seems to be fizzling out as one after the other is getting the relaxation from the court.

The latest one to get the reprieve is senior IAS officer Adityanath Das.

The Hyderabad high court has restrained the special ED Court not to frame charges against Das for four weeks, and also granted exemption from appearing before the trial court.

The officer is an accused in a case registered by the Enforcement Directorate in the disproportionate assets case pertaining to Jagan.

The interim order was passed by Justice Shameem Akther after hearing a plea filed by Das seeking to quash the case registered against him.

The counsel appearing for the petitioner pointed out that the ED complaint was taken into consideration by the special court for hearing without verifying the evidence in the case adding that no evidence was shown with regard to allegations that the officer had committed crime under Section 3 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
