Now, Naidu takes personal interest on Nandyal

With senior Telugu Desam Party leader Shila Mohan Reddy bidding good-bye to the party and deciding to join the YSR Congress party on Wednesday, TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to focus on Nandyal assembly constituency so as to win the seat by hook or crook in the coming byelections.

Naidu held a meeting with seniors, besides ministers like Kalwa Srinivasulu and Bhuma Akhila Priya to discuss the fall out of the resignation of Shilpa from the TDP.

Akhila reportedly told the boss that there would be hardly any impact on the party’s prospects in the by-elections, as the party cadre has remained intact.

In fact, she is very much relieved with the resignation of Shilpa, as the line is now clear for securing the ticket for her cousin Brahmanand Reddy to contest in the Nandyal by-elections.

However, Naidu asked the party leaders and ministers to focus on Nandyal and see that no damage is done to the party.

The chief minister himself will participate in a series of government programmes in Nandyal on June 21 and address meetings to tell people that the TDP government would fulfil all the promises made by Bhuma for the Nandyal constituency.

He wants to see that the TDP wins the seat at any cost.
