Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao has displayed his utter contempt for women once again by not accommodating even a single woman legislator in the proposed expansion of his Cabinet on Tuesday.
According to the list submitted to the Raj Bhavan on Monday, all the six MLAs to be included in the State Cabinet are men.
They are: Kollapur MLA Jupally Krishna Rao, Jadcherla MLA Dr Lakshma Reddy, Sattupalli MLA Tummala Nageshwara Rao, Mulug MLA Ajmeera Chandulal, Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivasa Yadav and Nirmal MLA A Indrakaran Reddy.
Though the name of Konda Surekha was doing rounds, she did not get the chance even in the second list.
With this, the number of ministers in the KCR cabinet will go up to 18, which is the maximum number as per the rules. As such, there is no possibility of inducting any other minister, leave alone women, in the Cabinet.
So, it is for the first time that any State cabinet has been formed without representation to women. It would definitely create troubles for KCR in the coming days.
