The Andhra Pradesh government has appointed a cabinet sub-committee for land acquisition.
Incidentally, the name of deputy CM and Revenue Minister KE Krishna Murthy is missing from the list of members.
The committee comprises six cabinet rank ministers including Finance Minister Yenamala Ramakrishnudu, Civil Supplies Minister P Narayana, Agricultural Minister Pattipati Pullarao, Water Resources Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Social and Tribal Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu, Information and IT Minister Palle Raghunadha Reddy.
Initially, the list also included the name of Transport Minister Atchaiah Naidu, but his name was removed later.
On the other hand, KE Krishna Murthy has been averse to the idea of being a part of the committee. Though other members tried to cajole him to be a part of the committee, he did not oblige.
So, in a rather interesting development, the committee to look into land acquisition will continue its work minus the Revenue Minister.
