The filming of a special item song for “Peddi” has been put on hold, with plans originally scheduled for last week now pushed aside.
With the film’s release also postponed and no confirmed date yet, it is likely to arrive in June.
Director Buchi Babu Sana is currently focused on completing post-production work, particularly the visual effects for crucial sports episodes. The item song will be shot at a later stage.
The delay reportedly stems from Ram Charan expressing displeasure over media and social media reports speculating about the actresses being considered for the song.
Names like Nayan Sarika and Manasa Varanasi, along with a few Kannada newcomers, were widely circulated.
Ram Charan is said to have questioned internal leaks and reportedly advised the team to cast a more popular face who can bring significant buzz to the number, rather than opting for lesser-known names.
With this, the shoot has been temporarily halted, and the makers are expected to finalize a star performer before proceeding.
