Naidu's Premature Works Are Baffling!

Strange are the ways of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. In a bid to grab the attention of the people to claim that he has taken up massive projects, the Chief Minister has adopted a new strategy: starting the projects even before their commencement or completion.

Consider this: Naidu had dedicated the Pattiseema project to the nation even before the pumps for the lift scheme came into full operation.

He is now performing “gruha pravesham” for the Secretariat complex in Amaravati even before the first floor is fully completed.

And he has declared that the Polavaram project will be ready by 2019 even before the commencement of the project headworks.

The latest in his publicity tricks is the announcement made by his government that there would be no household in the state without electricity from June.

An official release on Saturday said Naidu would dedicate to nation a gigantic programme of 100 per cent household electrification on June 8.

The Naidu government claimed that Andhra Pradesh will be the first State in India to declare 100 per cent household electrification.

According to an estimate, there were still two lakh households without electricity by the end of March 2016. And Naidu ordered that all these households be given power by May end, so that there would be 100 per cent electrification from June. Is it practically possible?

May be Naidu will achieve the task, after dedicating the scheme to the nation in June prematurely!
