Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu went on a three-nation tour from October 17 and he is expected to return on October 26. But going by his itinerary, there is no major purpose for his tour.
In the US, Naidu met only select groups of people and not any big investors. He attended a few community programmes apart from a couple of academic institutions that would no way help the state in a big way.
According to the allegations levelled by YSR Congress party people, Naidu had not taken any prior appointment of any investors and all that he was doing was only to meet the NRI Telugu groups.
“It appears Naidu’s visit is to mobilise funds for the party for the next elections,” YSRC leader Botsa Satyanarayana said.
However, unconfirmed reports said Naidu had gone to the US to get treatment for his Alzheimer disease.
There has been talk for quite some time that Naidu was suffering from symptoms of Alzheimer (memory loss) but it was never made public.
Since the US has the best doctors for this disease, Naidu went there to get the treatment so that he should be perfectly alright by next elections.
And on his way back to India, Naidu will have a halt in London to interact with architects Norman Fosters and Partners to give the final approval for the Amaravati official complexes. So, that is the secret of Naidu’s foreign tour!
