Naidu Misled House On Kurnool Capital

YSR Congress Party leader G Srikanth Reddy on Friday lambasted Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for misguiding Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly  by stating  that  discussion for making Kurnool as  capital was not held in 50’s.

Srikanth Reddy showed some proof of paper clippings on the debate held followed by a voting in Andhra Assembly to make Kurnool the capital in the past.

In the voting process, some leaders had opted to give a positive vote and others given negative and some remained neutral, he recalled.

Naidu had earlier said though Prakasam Panthulu had suggested making Kurnool the capital during a meeting held at his residence in the past, no consensus was arrived on the new capital.

Srikanth Reddy said this was an utter lie. He accused Naidu government of betraying people by telling lies in the Assembly on the history which is otherwise.

Srikanth Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister was turning dictatorial on finding the capital now, post-bifurcation.
