Badminton sensation P V Sindhu has reached the finals in Rio Olympics and made the country proud. She is sure to get either silver or gold medal.
But does anybody know who is responsible for Sindhu’s stupendous success? Well, the person is none other than Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. It may sound like a joke, but that is what Naidu has claimed.
Participating in a function on Friday, Naidu recalled that when he was the chief minister in the past, he had encouraged sports like never before. “I had made a lot of efforts to encourage young sports persons and strived for their growth. And badminton coach Pullela Gopichand was one of them. I extended a lot of assistance to Gopichand, because of which he could produce brilliant sportspersons. That Sindhu could bring a medal to the country is only because of the encouragement I had given to Gopichand those days,” he said.
You are a genius, Mr Naidu! You were responsible for Satya Nadella to become the CEO of Microsoft. No surprise, you are responsible for bringing Olympic medal to India!
