Everybody, including senior leaders of YSR Congress party like Nellore MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, are now finding fault with its president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for making inflammatory comment -- “Naidu should be shot dead in public” and other such remarks, which resulted in the party’s debacle in the Nandyal assembly by-elections recently.
Now, even former Congress MP from Rajahmundry Vundavalli Arun Kumar said Jagan should not have made such comments.
“There is no doubt that Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is a liar. But Jagan is too young to make derogatory comments against him. He should learn to give respect Naidu at least for his age and experience in politics,” he said.
Vundavalli pointed out that Jagan was too young in politics and was of Naidu’s son’s age.
“Though what he felt about Naidu’s administration is right, Jagan should not have made such abusive comments. He will shine in politics, if he learns to respect elders,” he advised.
However, the former MP, too, took the TDP president to task. “I have never seen such a chief minister who blatantly lies.
“The Purushottapatnam project has not yet been completed and might not be finished even by December. Yet, Naidu dedicated it to nation in August itself,” he said.
On Polavaram project, Vundavalli said only three per cent of works have been going on every year.
“At this rate, the project will take another five years to complete,” he said.
