Murali Mohan to be next TTD chief?

Murali Mohan to be next TTD chief?

If the reports from the Telugu Desam Party sources are to be believed, Rajahmundry MP Maganti Murali Mohan is most likely to be the next chairman of the prestigious Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board.

The term of the present TTD trust board headed by former MLA Chadalavada Krishna Murthy has come to end on Wednesday and the Chandrababu Naidu government is now under pressure to constitute the new board. Since there are too many aspirants for the TTD trust board chief post, Naidu fears it might result in yet another bout of revolt in the party.

While Chadalavada is strongly lobbying for a second term, since he could not get the TDP ticket in the 2014 elections, Narasaraopet MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao is also bringing pressure on Naidu stating that it was his long-cherished dream to serve the Tirumala Lord at the fag end of his career.

There is also a talk that Naidu might consider the candidature of Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy for the TTD chairman post, as he has been sulking ever since he was dropped from the cabinet recently.

However, chances are that Murali Mohan might get the opportunity because of his non-controversial nature and his ardent devotion toward the God. In any case, it is learnt Naidu will take a decision before he goes on the US tour on May 3.
