Following the high drama exit of Jayanti Natarajan from the Congress, the ‘Grand Old Party’ is gearing up for more desertions in the coming month according to speculation.
And the reason could be the elevation of Rahul Gandhi as the President of the Congress Party. That’s right!
Sonia Gandhi might make way for Rahul as the ‘Head’ of the Congress Party sometime in March. And this is precisely where the problem lies for many Congressmen believe that Rahul Gandhi lacks a head and is not the right choice to restore the fortunes of the beleaguered Party.
But for Rahul’s mother, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul’s interests would obviously take precedence over those of Mother India.
So some of the old geezers in Congress are seriously contemplating bidding adieu to the Congress once Rahul’s elevation is confirmed.
