Perhaps nobody would have faced this strange experience that was faced by YSR Congress party MLA from Chandragiri constituency Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy on Saturday.
He was released from jail on bail in a petty case, but was back in the jail within minutes of coming out of the jail gate.
Chevireddy was arrested the other day for sitting in a dharna before Chittoor district sub-collectorate. He was remanded to judicial custody for 15 days a couple of days ago, but he managed to get bail on Saturday.
As the YSR Congress party activists were celebrating his release in front of the Chittoor jail, Chevireddy came out of the gate to join the celebrations.
However, within a couple of minutes, he received an unexpected shock. The same police who brought him out announced that they were arresting him again in another case pertaining to his gate-crashing into Sub Collector office in the night, few days ago and obstructing the staff from performing their duty. He was booked under Sections 147, 341 and 448 of the IPC. He was sent back into the jail.
Chevireddy has been in thick of controversies right from the beginning. He was involved in several cases including the assault on Air India employee at Tirupati airport along with MP Midhun Reddy last year.
He was also suspended from the state assembly for allegedly using vulgar language in the house but he was pardoned after he sought unconditional apology.
