Kesineni Good Bye To TDP?

Kesineni Good Bye To TDP?

It appears to be final that Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani had bid adieu to the TDP. Though it has been on the cards for the past one year, sources say that the MP made it clear at the party meeting in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday.

Sources say that Kesineni had categorically told Chandrababu Naidu that he would not contest the next election on the TDP ticket.

He had reportedly told the TDP chief that he had invitation from the BJP leadership but did not betray the party as Naidu’s close aids Sujana Chowdary and CM Ramesh did.

“I am consistently being asked to prove my loyalties to the party. I did not defect the party and that shows my loyalty,” Kesineni had told Chandrababu Naidu.

He further told Naidu that the party leadership, particularly the heir, were encouraging others in Vijayawada Parliament Constituency on one side and asking him to prove my loyalty on the other side.

“Kesineni is my company and whatever I decide happens there. Likewise, TDP is your party. Whatever you decide here would be the final. Your heir would take over the party and tell us what to do,” Kesineni Nani reportedly told Naidu.

Angered at these comments, Chandrababu Naidu had reportedly told the meeting that the TDP is not a company, and it was peoples’ party. He said he had earned the party in the tough fight against Harikrishna and Lakshmi Parvati.

All this happened at the party meeting with the leaders of NTR district, where Chandrababu Naidu expressed anger and anguish over the increase squabbles in the party.
