KCR's Bitter Rival To Join TRS!

KCR's Bitter Rival To Join TRS!

It is often said there are no permanent friends or foes in politics. And there is no place for principles or values in politics.

This has become once again evident in Telangana. Senior leader Vanteru Pratap Reddy, who fought a bitter battle with Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in Gajwel for the two consecutive terms, is all set to dump the Congress party and join the TRS.

According to information from the TRS sources, Vanteru would be joining the TRS in the presence of KCR at 4 pm on Friday, along with his followers.

What prompted him to take such a serious decision is not yet known. He may disclose the reasons when he joins the TRS.

Vanteru, a strong leader in Gajwel, contested against KCR in 2014 assembly elections on Telugu Desam Party ticket and gave a tough fight.

KCR won the seat by a margin of just 19,000 votes. He is a very accessible leader for the people of Gajwel and remained very active despite the loss.

A few months before 2018 assembly elections, he joined the Congress party and was a hot favourite in the elections.

At one stage, he even generated a talk that he might spring a surprise by defeating KCR.

He was even allegedly subject to harassment by the police for contesting against the chief minister.

But like in any other part of the state, the results in Gajwel proved KCR’s might and he won the seat by over 58,000 votes.

After that, Vanteru went silent. And now, he has suddenly decided to take a plunge into the TRS.

That is politics!
