Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao will turn 'Santa Claus' for 2 lakh Christians in Telangana on the occasion of ensuing Christmas in December.
KCR on Friday signed a file to distribute clothes as Christmas gift to 2 lakh Christians in Telangana.
It may be recalled that KCR offered similar sop to Muslims during Ramzan few months ago by spending Rs 26 crore.
KCR has also been allotting Rs 10 crore each to celebrate Bonalu and Bathukamma since last year. Already Rs 40 crore has been spent on these festivals during the last two years.
KCR has also decided to conduct Christmas an an official state function.
He asked officials to distribute clothes to 2 lakh Christians on December 20th during Christmas tree celebration besides hoisting dinner in hundreds of churches in Hyderabad and also in 95 constituencies across the state. The clothes will be distributed at 190 selected locations.
