KCR Gives Green Signal For Aakarsh 2

KCR Gives Green Signal For Aakarsh 2

So confident is KCR about the efficacy of his recently launched Rythu Bandhu scheme that he is gearing up in full might for the Gram Panchayat elections likely to be held in July.

And he is not banking on his schemes alone but has reportedly given the nod for the second phase of Operation Akarsh 2.

While Akarsh 1 focused on luring opposition party MLAs to his camp, Akarsh 2 is geared at the second rung leaders at the village and mandal levels who can decisively impact the gram Panchayat elections.

The TRS MLAs have been asked to assist financially weak but popular defectors and make them emerge victorious.

The operation will kick start in Khammam district and the first scalp for the TRS is likely to be Congress leader G Rama Rao of Dendukuru village in Madhira Mandal.

Ironically, only the other day, KCR was speaking about constructive politics and the need for a third front which believed in such kinds of politics.

The gram Panchayat elections are probably the most important elections after the formation of Telangana.

With the general elections a year away, this is a sort of mini-referendum on the TRS rule and needless to say, the party which performs will in these polls will get a major boost ahead of 2019.
