Nowadays, there is no genuine newspaper or media house. Everyone owes allegiance to some political party or the other failing which survival is next to impossible.
The public is fully aware of this fact too. But it is indeed disgusting when a journalist openly turns into an advocate of a political party.
ABN MD Radhakrishna invited Roja to his popular programme ‘Open Heart with RK’. It was supposed to be a conversational kind of programme but Radhakrishna literally turned into a judge and made Roja an accused during the course of the event.
At no stage did one get the impression that it was a journalist in action. Roja at one point during the show got so incensed that she told Ramakrishna, “Meeru Chandrababu manasulo mata la matladuthunnaru.” (You seem to be the voice of Chandrababu himself).
Although she said this with a smile, the innuendo was not lost on RK. If this gentleman continues to indulge in such brazen politics in the name of journalism, then his show ‘Open Heart’ will soon have to undergo a bypass.
