JC Won't Contest Again, But To Promote Son

Maverick Telugu Desam Party MP from Anantapur J C Diwakar Reddy on Thursday announced that he won’t contest the next general elections in 2019 and retire from politics.

It does not mean he will cut off his links with politics completely. He wants to promote his son Pavan Reddy as his political heir and bring him into politics, so that he can steer the wheel from behind the screen.

“What is there for me to work as an MP? There is no respect or work for the MPs in the party. We are used only as curry leaves in a dish. That is why I thought it is better to opt out of race for the MP ticket in the next elections,” JC said.

However, the TDP MP disclosed that his son Pawan is interested in contesting as an MP in the next elections.

“If Chandrababu Naidu shows some mercy, my son will become an MP,” he said.

It is rather surprising as why JC wants his son to become an MP, when he thinks there is no value or respect for an MP in the party.

It clearly shows JC wants to retain his hold on Anantapur constituency through his son forever!
