Jayaprada Back In UP Politics!

Jayaprada Back In UP Politics!

It looks like glamorous actress of yesteryears and former MP Jaya Prada has given up hope on returning to Andhra politics after her successful stint as an MP from Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports from Delhi, Jaya Prada is keen on continuing politics from Uttar Pradesh. On Monday, she along with her mentor, guide and philosopher Amar Singh, met Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, who is facing a coup from his own son Akhilesh Yadav.

She extended all support to the old man and promised to stand by him, as Amar Singh was sacked by Akhilesh.

Apparently, Jaya Prada is of the view that she would stand a better chance now in the party, in the wake of an impending split in the SP and Mulayam Singh declaring himself as party president.

However, instead of contesting the next Lok Sabha elections, Jaya Prada wants to test her fortunes in the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh elections. If luck favours, she might even be announced as the star campaigner for the party in the elections.

That is precisely why Jaya Prada started playing active role now in the SP. She attended an emergency meeting convened by Mulayam to stake claim for the party’s symbol `cycle’.

She also accompanied Mulayam, along with Amar Singh and Shivpal Singh Yadav to Election Commission to claim the symbol.
