Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader T Harish Rao on Tuesday took serious exception to Union Minister Jairam Ramesh for trying to create a wedge between the TRS and the Telangana Joint Action Committee.
Harish said the Union Minister’s comments would further drown the Congress in Telangana as it would widen the gap between the Congress and the TRS.
“It was the Congress that tried to defeat the members of TJAC during last year. Jairam is misguiding the Congress leadership through his remarks that he was against the bifurcation. Besides, Jairam was trying to create a ‘mindless’ situation by offering tickets to the members of TJAC for general elections,” he said.
Harish’s remarks assume significance in the wake of Jairam comments that the Congress will offer Chief Minister post for a dalit leader in Telangana state after elections.
It may be noted that TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao offered Chief Minister post for a dalit leader on according statehood to Telangana. Besides KCR is now seems to be against giving the top post to a dalit and denied to merge his party with the Congress.
