YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had spent more than Rs 2 cror on mobilizing crowds and party cadre to his dharna in Delhi to bring pressure on the Centre to grant special status to Andhra Pradesh.
This was the allegation made by Telugu Desam Party MP from Anantapur J C Diwakar Reddy, who is well known for his sensational comments.
Targeting the YSR Congress party, JC said, “Jagan and his party had spent Rs 2 crore on Monday’s protest in New Delhi which was of no use. Jagan received enough publicity rather than the issue.”
Hitting back at Congress, JC accused the party of shedding crocodile tears on the ‘Special Status’ issue.
JC questioned why Congress led UPA government did not include the ‘Special Status’ in AP Reorganisation Act.
Reacting on the bandh called for, JC said, shutdown will affect the state indirectly.
