Jagan Party Gaining Strength Gradually!

The YSR Congress party headed by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy appears to be gaining strength gradually with senior leaders from other parties joining one after the other.

While the entry of former MLA Vellampalli Srinivas gave the much-needed boost to the party in Krishna district, the party gained more strength in East Godavari on Monday with the joining of former MLC and senior Congress leader Kandula Durgesh along with his followers.

Jagan admitted Dugesh into the party at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad in the presence of party leaders from the district.

Durgesh said Jagan and the YSR Congress were the only future for the state, which was suffering badly under the Telugu Desam Party regime.

People are vexed with the policies of TDP and in the coming days the anti-incumbency would be showing up more, he said.

According to party sources, Jagan is going selectively in admitting the leaders from other parties and is focusing on those areas, in which it had lost heavily in the last elections.

He is particularly targeting the Congress and the BJP leaders who have considerable mass base. Interestingly, more and more BJP leaders who are vexed with the party’s continued alliance with the TDP are evincing interest in joining the YSR Congress party, say sources.
