Once again the name of Vijayawada has come up as the temporary capital of Andhra Pradesh.
The ruling party in Andhra Pradesh, TDP, has more or less finalized Vijayawada as the temporary capital till a final decision is taken on the matter.
Already, work is on to shift some offices of ministers to Vijayawada. It is a known fact that minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao has been operating from Vijayawada for the past couple of months.
Now, the CM’s camp office is being readied in Vijayawada. Slowly, all departments are likely to be moved to Vijayawada in the coming days.
With the CM hinting that Vijayawada would be the temporary capital; there is a major boom in real estate in and around Vijayawada.
Incidentally, the realty rates rocketed sky high in the past couple of months and both people and officials were of the opinion that the rates would stabilize eventually. But with the new announcement, the rates are likely to double once again, thanks to the ruling TDP.
Naturally, those in real estate are in a celebratory mood in the VGTM region. There is maximum boom in the area bordering the national highway connecting Vijayawada and Gannavaram airport.
The rates are spiraling upwards on lands bordering the national highway till Eluru. Though Chandra Babu has not made an official announcement regarding the temporary capital, the realty dealers are in a jubilant mood due to inside information from within TDP circles.
Though there is still no clarity about the capital city and when it would become a reality, the ruling party is ensuring that the realtors have a reason to celebrate.
