Is YSRCP Justified In Its Criticism?

After the TDP came to power, a 'Heritage Foods' outlet was sanctioned at Tirumala and the same came up about a month ago.

Heritage Foods is owned by Chandrababu Naidu and the YSRCP say that this is a blatant misuse of power by the TDP.

The YSRCP also says that ‘Heritage Foods’ at Tirumala is selling egg- based items in violation of rules at the holy town, a charge which has been denied by the latter. The TTD authorities have given an explanation regarding the issue.

“There are many ‘diary outlets’ in Tirumala and Heritage Foods is just one of the many vendors. We can also confirm that there are no egg-based items being sold by Heritage foods at Tirumala,” said TTD officials.

YSRCP does have a point when it says that Heritage Foods got the permission for an outlet at Tirumala only because it is owned by the CM’s family. However, such practices are a part and parcel of politics across the country and people have resigned themselves to it.

What is more important is to ensure that Heritage which made the news recently for allegations of selling adulterated products, does not face similar criticism in the holy town too.

Keeping in mind the health of the devotees which is of paramount importance, it is sufficient to concentrate on the quality of Heritage products being sold there. Apart from the political clout wielded by Heritage in setting up a unit at Tirumala, there is nothing wrong with the matter as long as the company trades in quality products.

Having brought this to the notice of the public, YSRCP has done well! It should now focus on more important issues!
