In recent times, 'Heritage Foods' owned by the family of Chandrababu Naidu has been at the centre of a controversy with serious concerns raised about the quality of its manufacturing processes and quality of output.
Against this backdrop, news has filtered in that Heritage Foods Limited has bagged the National Energy Conservation Award in dairy sector for the year 2014.
It was chosen for the coveted award by the Ministry of Power.
Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal will present the award at a function to be held in Delhi on December 14.
Considering the adverse publicity to the company in recent times, detractors of Naidu can’t help wondering whether Naidu used his influence to get his ally the BJP to present this award to his company.
