Well, that's the dilemma for nearly 30 MLAs in the Palaniswami government right now.
It is known that defying speculations, Sasikala's close aide Dinakaran won the RK Nagar by-election recently.
And since the victory, Dinakaran has been claiming that it is a moral victory for him and his party Anna DMK Sasikala group.
Apart from his claims, speculation has been rife in media that quite a few MLAs from the Palaniswami group are now trying to defect to Dinakaran's camp.
Tamil Nadu CM Palaniswami has already struck 5 MLAs contemplating defection and there is anticipation that the move could have far-reaching impact on his government and his political future in the state.
If the trend continues, there is a likelihood of nearly 30 MLAs jumping the ship any time in future, say party sources in Tamil Nadu.
Now it remains to be seen how soon CM Palaniswami and deputy CM Pannerselvam will take damage control measures.
