Intelligence reports dampen KCR spirits?

Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president, K Chandrasekhar Rao, is reportedly feeling disheartened in the last two days as intelligence reports from the battleground indicate unfavorable conditions for the party in the upcoming assembly elections.

Despite KCR's extensive tours of several constituencies in the past two weeks, he has sensed that the response from the people is not encouraging, and there are issues at the grassroots level.

KCR is banking on the distribution of Rythu Bandhu money among farmers, but it appears that the required funds for distribution are not available with the government.

If Rythu Bandhu is distributed only among a few farmers, it could lead to resentment among others, proving counterproductive for the ruling party as angry farmers might vote against the BRS.

Therefore, he ordered the distribution of money among farmers only two days before the polling, despite the Election Commission's directive that it could be done from Saturday onwards.

As a result, KCR, who initially planned to hold a press conference on Saturday evening, suddenly canceled it. Intelligence reports apparently suggested that the Congress might win the elections, albeit with a narrow majority.

KCR's deputies, his son K T Rama Rao and nephew T Harish Rao, have begun holding meetings with various sections of people, including unemployed youth, farmers, Dalits, and others, to appease them.

They are acknowledging that the BRS government might have made mistakes in administration, particularly concerning rectifying errors in the Dharani portal, distribution of Dalit Bandhu, construction of double-bedroom houses, and the design of Kaleshwaram, among other issues.

"Give us one more chance. We shall make all necessary corrections in the administration and act in a more responsible manner. If the Congress is voted to power, all the work done by the government so far will go down the drain," they are conveying to the people.
