In politics, anybody can make any wild allegation and get away with it. They don’t even bother to substantiate their allegations, because all that they want is temporary political advantage over rivals.
Telugu Desam Party MLA from Tadipatri in Anantapur district J C Prabhakar Reddy on Saturday alleged that YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had killed his own father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy with a view to grab the chief minister’s seat.
“He is hungry for power and wants to get into the seat of the chief minister as early as possible. No wonder, he might have conspired to get his own father killed,” JC said.
He said Jagan was day-dreaming of coming to power in the next elections. “But, his dreams will never get fulfilled. After the 2019 polls, you can watch Jagan roaming on the streets like a mad man, claiming himself to be the real chief minister,” the MLA said.
JC held dharna in front of Sakshi office at Tadipatri, demanding that the newspaper should prove how chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu was shielding him and his brother J C Diwakar Reddy in the Nandigama bus accident.
“The daily has written baseless stories. The accident was very unfortunate incident. We have been doing legitimate transport business since the days of Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. If we are at fault, we ready for any punishment,” he said.
The police later arrested JC and his followers for staging the dharna in town in violation of the model code of conduct for the ongoing MLC elections.
