Has Kotamreddy become mentally disturbed?

It looks like rebel YSR Congress party legislator from Nellore (rural) assembly constituency Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has become a psychologically disturbed man, as is evident from his incoherent talk and strange actions.

When Kotamreddy squatted near the drainage canal in his constituency and putting his feet in the dirty sewerage water a few months ago, everybody thought he was staging a unique protest against the Nellore municipal authorities to catch the attention of the media.

But it now appears he is a little mentally disturbed. He ruined his own political career more than a year ahead of the next assembly elections in the state by making wild allegations of telephone tapping by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government.

He did not even make alternative arrangements for his political future while parting ways with the YSRCP. Though it is generally believed that he revolted against the chief minister only after talking to the Telugu Desam Party leadership, it is now revealed that he did not get any firm assurance for his seat from the TDP.

So, what will be his fate, if he is denied entry into the TDP? Kotamreddy gave a strange answer to this question posed by Andhra Jyothy managing director V Radhakrishna in his “Open Heart with RK” show on Sunday night.

“If I am given a chance, I will contest from the TDP and strive for the victory of the TDP in all the 10 constituencies in the district. If I don’t get a chance in the TDP, there are many other options, including the Bharatiya Janata Party, Jana Sena, Congress, CPI or even CPI (M),” he said.

What if he doesn’t get a chance in any of these parties in the state?

“Well, in that scenario, I will go to Bihar and request Tejaswi Yadav for a ticket from Rasthtriya Janata Dal; or to Uttar Pradesh and beg for a set from Samajwadi Party or Bahujan Samaj Party,” he said.

Kotamreddy has not stopped there.

“Since I have to spend money on flight tickets in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, I have another option – I shall go to neighbouring Chennai and ask for a ticket from Dravid Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) by begging chief minister M K Stalin,” he said.

As a last option, Kotamreddy wants to approach even Bharat Rashtra Samithi headed by Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for a party ticket.

“There are a large number of settlers. I can become a BRS MLA as well,” he said.

Now, what can we say about this man, if not a mentally disturbed person?
