Revolutionary singer Gaddar, who inspired millions of people with his songs and made them to take to forests to fight against the state, appears to have turned a spiritual person.
Not only that, he seems to have joined the bandwagon of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
On Monday, Gaddar was all praise for KCR for achieving statehood. Along with people’s organisations and students, KCR had played a vital role in securing statehood to Telangana, he said, much to the surprise of his followers.
A couple of days ago, his wife Vimala made a representation to the Chief Minister to allot a piece of land for the construction of a community hall in the name of her son who died long ago. The KCR government is likely to grant her wish, sources said.
Earlier, Gaddar along with his wife Vimala went to Komurelli Mallikarjuna Swamy temple to attend the Mallanna Jaatara and worship Lord Siva. It was a surprise to many as people think being a Maoist sympathiser, Gaddar is a non-believer, but he not only had a darshan of the Lord, but also performed special puja.
He told media later that it was his strong desire to visit Komurelli temple for several decades.
“I came to this temple when I was a child, but I was told the Lord would be seen in a deep burrow. So, I could not have darshan. Now, after several decades, I got this opportunity,” he said.
