Forget Bifurcation As A Nightmare, Says Naidu

Notwithstanding the opposition from people of Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is firm on acknowledging June 2 as the formation of the residual Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu on Thursday asked the people to forget bifurcation as a nightmare.

“Whether we wanted it or not, the bifurcation has happened. We have to show our anguish and vengeance in reconstruction of the new state. That is precisely why we need to take a pledge on November 2 to rebuild Andhra Pradesh,” he said.

Naidu called upon officials, ministers and legislators to make Navanirmana Deeksha to be held on June 2 and Mahasankalpa Deeksha on June 8, a success.

He said that the five deekshas would be conducted for five days from June 3 to June 7 -- Review on the implementation of AP Reorganisation Act on June 3; Agriculture, water resources, interlinking of rivers, loan waiver and sustainable development on June 4; welfare on June 5; human resources development, health, education, investments and employment on June 6; and good governance, people first and family growth on June 7.

He asked the leaders to recall unscientific state bifurcation and take oath to rededicate to progress of the state.

Stating that the party men should discuss the development and progress of the state in 2014 and now, Naidu instructed them to participate in district-wise and constituency-wise meetings without fail.

“It is an opportunity to explain the developmental works taken up by the government in the last three years. The dreams of supplying power to all houses and cooking gas has become reality,” he said and added the government would set another new target for next year.

He reiterated that the final aim of government was to make AP best state in the country by 2029. He asked officials of all departments assume responsibility to work towards achieve the goal.
