During the recent agitation in Tamil Nadu over the Jalikattu ban, the protesting Tamil youth found an unlikely savior in Salman Khan.

“When Salman Khan can kill a black buck and walk the streets a free man, why should it bother the Supreme Court if a few bulls get injured or die during Jalikattu which upholds our culture and tradition?” questioned Tamil youth.
What can one answer to this question? When the high and mighty get away with anything and when justice is not uniform, it sends out wrong signals to society as can be evidenced by the above response from the youth.
Both Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan endorsed Prime Minister Modi’s candidature for Prime Ministership.
Salman later was acquitted in all cases including the infamous hit-and-run case in which he mowed down pavement dwellers. And Amitabh and Aishwarya Rai’s names figured in the ‘Panama Papers’ scandal.
