A day after Sakshi newspaper revealed the massive corruption being indulged in by TDP in the name of Amaravathi, the CPI and Congress have jumped in on the act asking for transparency.
CPI state secretary Ramakrishna endorsed the findings of the Sakshi team and concurred with the report that Amaravathi was a hot bed of corruption.
But his subsequent statement is not feasible. He asked the government to order a judicial probe by a sitting judge of the High Court into the land purchases in 29 villages of Amaravathi.
Mr. Ramakrishna, after accusing the government of corruption, how do you expect the government to appoint a probe against itself?
Even if it does appoint a probe by a sitting high court judge, there will be no need to wait for the verdict of the probe. It will say that CBN’s regime is as ‘clean as a whistle’.
