Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and Rajya Sabha member D Srinivas has been vehemently denying reports in a section of media that he was going to return to the Congress party, because he was not happy with the way he was being ignored by the TRS party leadership.
He even went to the extent of threatening to take legal action against the media if they continue to propagate that that he would be returning to the Congress party.
It has given rise to the impression that DS would not be defecting to any other party. But if one were to read between the lines of his statement, it shows DS might not join the Congress, but he did not rule out joining the other party – that is Bharatiya Janata Party.
It was evident from the way his younger son Dharmapuri Aravind issued full page advertisements in the media praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and calling upon the people to support his leadership for a long time to come. Needless to say, Aravind is inclining towards the BJP, which the TRS has been strongly opposing.
Inquiries revealed that Aravind is being tipped as the BJP candidate for Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat in the next elections. And if son joins the BJP, DS cannot continue in the TRS for long time.
Indications are that DS might jump into the BJP sooner or later and might get inducted into the Central cabinet!
