Does TDP Have Collective Leadership, Mr Nehru?

It has become a common practice that whenever a leader turns his coat and defects from one party to another party, he makes caustic comments against his parent party to defend his action.

He makes wild allegations against the former boss and points out defects in the parent party, but he remains blind to the same defects in the new party.

Take for instance, senior YSR Congress party MLA Jyothula Nehru, who took a plunge into the Telugu Desam Party on Monday. He should have maintained restraint when media asked him the reasons for his defection. But he sought to blame his hither-to-boss Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, saying the latter was behaving like a monarch.

“Jagan does not respect seniors and does not listen to their words. There is no collective leadership in YSR Congress party and Jagan is all-in-all there. I continued in the party for so long, bearing a lot of humiliation,” Nehru said.

One wonders whether there is any collective leadership in the TDP. It is a known fact that Chandrababu Naidu has been running the TDP like his family outfit which is evident from the way he is encouraging his son to grow in politics so fast.

Naidu also does not care for seniors and takes his own decisions, without listening to their suggestions. If Jagan is a monarch, then, Naidu is a bigger monarch. Can Nehru deny the same?
