Telangana Home Minister, Nayani Narasimha Reddy created history by becoming the first Telangana Minister to visit Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation of the State.
Reddy was in Vijayawada to attend the memorial meeting of a friend of his. Since he was in AP, the Home Minister sang a completely different tune of friendship and joining hands for development.
“We never asked Andhra people to leave Telangana. We were against those who came to loot the natural resources in Telangana and waged a war against them,” he claimed.
“People from two regions lived together for 56 years and there was no animosity between them. Chief minster K Chandrasekhar Rao government wants cordial relations with the government in AP. Sharing water without dispute will help both of us to prosper,” he said.
But the same person when in Telangana speaks badly of AP people and its CM blaming the Seemandhra for the inefficiency of the TRS government. But what was interesting to see was the hassle-free visit of Reddy to Vijayawada. Nobody protested against his visit or spoke disparagingly of Telangana.
This is a complete contrast to the attitude of the Telangana people and its leaders who frequently make tirades against the Andhra people even after achieving statehood and continue to blackmail Andhra leaders by threatening to block their tours in Telangana.
