The Congress High Command has summoned the Telangana PCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah to Delhi.
Naturally, this is set the tongues wagging in political circles. As there is widespread discontentment among the Congress cadre, it is being said that Ponnala might be on his way out after the meeting.
In the past few days, various Congress leaders have demanded that Ponnala be replaced by a more capable man who can invigorate the party in Telangana after its dismal performance during the 2014 elections.
In fact, people like ex-minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy have been quite vocal about this demand. Meanwhile, it is being said that CLP leader Jana Reddy has also been summoned to Delhi to discuss the issue with him.
There is also talk that Ponnala would soon leave to Delhi and seek some more time to prove himself. One thing is for sure though. One can expect a few changes within T Congress in the coming days.
