Chinta Mohan to join YSRC or Jana Sena?

Senior Congress leader from Tirupati Chinta Mohan has been a die-hard loyalist of the party and is known for his integrity and sincerity.

Of course, he had to lose the elections like any other Congress leader in Andhra Pradesh, thanks to the decision taken by then party president Sonia Gandhi to divide the combined state to carve out Telangana.

All these years, Chinta Mohan has been maintaining a very low profile, though occasionally he used to issue statements against the anti-people policies of the Chandrababu Naidu government.

However, since the general elections are fast approaching again, he needs to take some decision with regard to his political future.

So, when Chinta Mohan made a statement recently that the state needs a dynamic leader who can take Andhra Pradesh into the path of development and that he would prefer to join hands with him, it raised a lot of curiosity among the political circles.

There were speculations in a section of media that the veteran leader is referring to YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who is young and dynamic and has some vision to develop the state and has people’s support. May be, he has sent feelers to Jagan by making such a statement.

However, another section of media is of the view that Chinta Mohan might be looking at Jana Sena Party chief and power star Pawan Kalyan.

“Since he said he is looking for a leader with a clean image, he might not be referring to Jagan, who is facing CBI case in the alleged illegal assets case. Moreover, being a leader with integrity, Chinta Mohan would definitely not join hands with Jagan,” a senior journalist said.

According to him, the former MP must have made the statement keeping in mind Pawan Kalyan, who has no stigma of corruption.

Let us wait and see, who Chinta would prefer!
