BJP floor leader looking up to YSRC?

BJP floor leader looking up to YSRC?

Bharatiya Janata Party floor leader P Vishnu Kumar Raju appears to be eyeing YSR Congress party to safeguard his political future in the 2019 assembly elections.

It is evident from the way Raju has been heaping praises on the YSR Congress party and its president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for the last few days.

He told media the other day that the graph of the Telugu Desam Party in the state has been going down steeply and that of YSRC has been showing upward trend.

“In the next elections, both the TDP and the BJP will face the debacle. And YSRC is going to come to power. That is for sure,” the BJLP leader said.

This is naturally an embarrassing statement for the BJP leadership, which is trying to grow on its own in Andhra Pradesh.

However, Raju’s comments did not generate much surprise as they reflect the factual situation.

Moreover, one leader after the other has been deserting the BJP after it broke the alliance with the Telugu Desam Party recently. So, Vishnu Kumar Raju is also appearing to be looking towards YSR Congress party as an option.

He has been appreciating the response Jagan has been getting to his padayatra.

He even announced that he would meet Jagan, when steps into Visakhapatnam as part of his padayatra.

May be, he will take a plunge into the main opposition during last stages of Jagan’s padayatra.
