Since coming to power, not a single day has passed by where the TRS did not accuse the Centre of indifference towards Telangana. All of that seems to have changed with the thumping victory of the TRS in the GHMC polls.
While the poll verdict made KCR, the undisputed leader of Telangana, it also made the BJP realize the hopelessness of trying to strengthen itself at the expense of the TRS.
It is now a matter of formality before the TRS joins the NDA at the Centre. As part of the changed equations, the Center is acceding to long pending demands of the TRS with alacrity.
82 All India Service Officers comprising 44 IAS, 29 IPS and 9 IFS officers have been allotted to Telangana. With the TRS government coming out with a new programme every month, it has become a herculean task for the officers to attend to their additional duties.
Various government programmes like Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, double-bedroom houses construction, Shadi Mubarak, TS-IPass and T-hub, among other schemes, also need new officers. There seem to be no further hurdles for KCR now on any front.
