KCR is camping in Delhi for a six-day meeting including the 'Niti Aayog' to be chaired by Narendra Modi.
Known for his simple lifestyle, frugality and humble demeanor, KCR in keeping with the same image has checked into the ‘Presidential Suite’ of the Ashoka Hotel in Delhi.
The suite costs Rs 1,50,000 a night excluding taxes. Of course food and KCR’s favorite beverage which is compulsory will be charged extra not to mention the bills his entourage would rack up in the star hotel.
One could well argue what is wrong in KCR staying at a star hotel in his capacity as a Chief Minister?
Technically, nothing! But if you think of the farmers back home in Telangana committing suicides daily, the swine-flu epidemic raging on, and umpteen other problems, somehow, it doesn’t seem right! It appears as if the formation of Telangana has benefitted only one family, the ‘Kalavakuntla family’.
Bangaru Telangana is only for them. For the rest of the people, life is as usual if not worse.
