Babu To Miss Yet Another Deadline!

Babu To Miss Yet Another Deadline!

Noting seems to be working out for AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu over shifting AP Secretariat from Hyderabad to new capital Amaravathi.

Naidu already issued an ultimatum to all the AP staff working in Hyderabad to move to Amaravathi by June 2 this year.

But the TDP government is yet to finalise the tenders for construction of temporary Secretariat in Amaravathi.

Official sources said the tenders are expected to be finalised only in the last week of February and works can commence only in March.

They say it would not be possible to complete temporary Secretariat of 6 lakh sq.ft with all facilities within three months.

They say at the most TDP government can do is it can shift offices of Heads of Departments (HoDs) in Hyderabad by June 2 but it's not possible to shift entire Secretariat to Amaravathi.

AP employees working in Hyderabad are more worried with confusion over shifting. Because the new academic year for their children will begin in June and they have to take a decision on where to admit their children by then.

Employees are demanding CM Naidu to give a clarity on this as early as possible so that they can plan accordingly.

But going by the present situation, it is likely that Naidu will miss yet another deadline of June 2 over shifting AP Secretariat to Amaravathi from Hyderabad.
