Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has come under the radar of opposition parties for delaying and dilly-dallying on the issue of waiver of loans to farmers.
The main opposition party in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, YSRCP, is leaving no opportunity to question the intentions of Chandra Babu and his cabinet colleagues on the contentious issue.
Today, YSRCP deputy floor leader Jyothula Nehru participated in the discussion about thanking the Governor on his speech.
During the conversation, he said that instead of signing on the crop loan waiver file, Babu had actually signed on the file to appoint a committee to look into the matter.
Nehru alleged that Babu appointing a committee and the subsequent delay clearly shows that the entire issue of loan waivers would be put in cold storage eventually.
Nehru said he was also a farmer and took pride in the fact that agriculture was his primary source of income. He condemned the fact that a senior and seasoned politician like Chandra Babu was undecided about his future course of action.
Nehru said that God alone can save the farmers who were eagerly awaiting waiver of agricultural loans.
