Babu Government No So Good: Jyothula

YSR Congress party MLA Jyothula Nehru, who is all set to defect into the ruling Telugu Desam Party on April 8, has given some embarrassing moments to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday, stating that he was not joining the TDP not because the government was doing a great job.

In an interview to a television channel, Nehru said he would not mince words in criticising the government when it comes to the issues of people.

“I am joining the TDP not because the present government was doing a good job, but I was not able to adjust to the mindset of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy,” he said.

The senior MLA pointed out that in the past, too, he had criticised the TDP though he was part of it.

“Naidu is fully aware of it. When I was in the YSR Congress party, I had to make comments against Naidu as part of that party’s policy,” he said.

Nehru said there was no democracy in the YSR Congress party.

“Jagan is No. 1 in the party and there is nobody after that – no senior or junior. He cannot tolerate if someone questions his policies,” he said.
