Speaking at an event in Odisha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that recent events proved that there were serious attempts being made to destabilize his government.
“The government has been taking some progressive measures which is not to the liking of our detractors. Therefore, they are trying to destabilize our government by hook or by crook.
However, we will not cave in to these people. No one will be able to thwart our development agenda. We have absolutely no objection to NGO’s carrying out their activities with foreign funding.
But when we ask for transparency in their auditing and source of funding, slogans are raised against me. They call me anti-farmer. But we are the most farmer-friendly regime. By 2022, the farm output will double across the nation,” said Modi.
