Lagadapati Rajagopal, who is also popular knows as 'Andhra Octopus' for his accuracy in poll surveys seems to have gone wrong this time in Bihar elections.
The former Congress MP from Vijayawada, who is currently on 'political sanyas' attracted headlines with his poll surveys earlier which turned out to be almost correct with minor alterations.
His survey predictions earlier proved correct when TRS, YSRCP fought bye-elections and during 2014 general elections, when he predicted comfortable victory for TDP in AP and TRS in Telangana.
It is learnt that Octopus Rajagopal took up survey in Bihar and predicted that BJP-led NDA would comfortably win the elections.
There are rumours that Chanakya poll survey organisation is the benami of Rajagopal which conducted this survey.
However, when actual results were out today in Bihar, BJP was seen nowhere and Nitish Kumar alliance recorded a grand victory.
But some insiders say, Lagadapati's survey also detected humiliating defeat for BJP in the survey but he deliberately manipulated survey results in favour of BJP to please BJP leadership with an intention of coming out of financial crisis and bank loan default being faced by his Lanco Group with the assistance of NDA government.
