Allu Arjun's FIL is Cong candidate for Malkajgiri?

If the speculations doing rounds in the Congress party circles are to be believed, Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, father-in-law of popular Tollywood hero Allu Arjun, is going to be the party candidate for Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency in the upcoming elections to the Lok Sabha from Telangana.

Reddy, whose daughter Sneha Reddy is married to Allu Arjun, had been with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi since 2014 and contested from Ibrahimpatnam unsuccessfully in 2014.

He tried for the BRS ticket from Ibrahimpatnam or his native place Nagarjunasagar in the recent elections, but was not given.

A businessman and also promoter of a couple of engineering colleges near Ibrahimpatnam, Reddy joined the Congress only last week, along with a host of BRS leaders including former mayor of Hyderabad Bonthu Rammohan along with his wife Bonthu Sridevi, former minister Patnam Mahender Reddy and the latter’s wife Patnam Sunitha Reddy.

According to the list of candidates supposedly finalised by the Congress party, Sunitha Reddy will be contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Chevella and Bonthu Rammohan from Secunderabad.

The other probable candidates are: Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao (Medak), Suresh Shetkar (Zaheerabad), T Jeevan Reddy (Nizamabad), Rekha Nayak (Adilabad), Balaram Naik (Mahabubabad), Addanki Dayakar (Warangal), Venkatesh Netha (Peddapalli), Jetti Kusuma Kumar (Khammam), Sameerullah (Hyderabad), Mallu Ravi or Sampath Kumar (Nagarkurnool), K Jana Reddy or Patel Ramesh Reddy (Nalgonda), Venkanna Yadav or Ch Kiran Kumar Reddy (Bhongir), Praveen Reddy or V Rajender Rao (Karimnagar) and Challa Vamsichand Reddy (Mahabubnagar).
