Satyam Ramalinga Raju may have been a huge blot on the credibility of corporate India, but in his native area of Bhimavaram, the man continues to be held in high esteem by many people, especially from his community.
Raju had done a lot of philanthropic activities in many villages under the ‘Byrraju Foundation’ founded by him in memory of his father.
He had also helped his own community in many ways from dispensing odd loans to providing financial assistance for MLA elections.
Naturally, the Kshatriya community to which Raju belongs looks upon him as a hero and not a villain.
The Raju family is starting a new company “Call Health” in Hyderabad though their names do not figure on the management. Money for this new outfit is apparently being sourced from Bhimavaram where people still believe in Raju.
