4 Indians Die In US In 3 Incidents

A 32-year-old Indian man was stabbed to death in Modesto City of US when he was closing a store at midnight on Thursday.

According to his relatives in Kapurthala, the victim, Jagjit Singh, battled for his life for nearly nine hours in hospital before succumbing to injuries.

Jagjit had gone to the US around a year and half back. His brother-in-law K S Cheema said a customer had come to the store to buy cigarettes on Thursday and Jagjit asked for his ID proof.

Finding the proof improper, he asked for a valid document. An altercation ensued and the customer left.Later at 11.50pm, when Jagjit was closing the store, an unidentified person stabbed him with a knife and left him seriously injured, Cheema said.

PIO couple shot by daughter's ex-BF
An Indian-origin couple has been killed in an apparent revenge attack by their daughter's exboyfriend who too was eventually shot dead in a stand-off with police in the American state of California.

"Mirza Tatlic, 24, fatally shot Naren Prabhu, a Silicon Valley tech executive, and his wife at their home in San Jose. The suspect had been in a dating relationship with the victims' adult daughter who was not at home," San Jose police chief Eddie Garcia said. "The relationship ended last year."

"When officers arrived, they saw an adult man deceased in the front doorway. Officers learnt from the son that his mother and 13-year-old brother along with the suspect were inside," police said.

Garcia added that the suspect refused to surrender. Officers then went into the house and found the two deceased victims and the dead suspect, Garcia said PTI

Malayali doc found dead in car in Michigan
A 32-year-old US-based doctor from Mavelikkara in Kerala was found dead inside his car in Detroit, Michigan, on Thursday night.

A urology resident at Henry Ford Hospital, Dr Ramesh Kumar's car was found parked in a rest area along a highway. A police complaint was filed after he failed to report to work.

Ramesh's father Dr Narendra R Kumar was the former president of American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) and the Association of Kerala Medical Graduates.
